This product was bought for two new kittens who were climbing everything. I had a chance to look at the other Armarkat trees and decided on this one, because the kittens will “grow into it”. If you look at the sizes of the house and the perch ledges, they differ for different models. Be sure the ledge size will fit your adult cat.
I also wanted a cat tree which would entail all the years of a cat’s life. Although I don’t have a senior cat right now, this cat tree offers plenty of ledges for an older cat to climb up. I was also looking for a product where the majority of the cat tree activities were above three feet high, since cats like to head upward. As I figured, the cat rope is neat, but i dont see them playing with it much. The kittens love to race up and down the sisal posts.
I have never been concerned with the sturdiness of this product. It was easy to assemble, and I keep the assembly tool inside the cat house so I dont loose it. I tighten the screws from time to time. One reviewer mentioned the thin fake sheep covering, which it is, and over time I expect it to become dirty, as it is light in color. Other than that, the cats dont really care if it is thin and light. I may add an extra blanket inside the house to make it cozier. The inner walls of the house do not have the fake sheep covering. The inner walls are bare wood. The flooring of the house is covered with the fake sheep covering.
Another thing to consider for those buying a cat tree, for a cat you have had for awhile. My oldest cat is 1 1/2 and she did not take to the cat tree right away. She has her established sitting areas around the house, but she is slowly warming up to the tree. She does use it now, as you can see in the customer pictures-Autumn.
All in all, I am happy with the purchase, as it is meeting the needs of the cats I have. They are playing on it, sharpening their claws, and sleeping on it.

This is a nice cat tree. It wobbles a little bit though, so it’s definitely a good idea to keep it against a wall or mounted. The cubby-hole is the perfect size for our fat cat to hang out it. Toys that come with are cheap- but hey- I’m sure you’re not looking to buy a cat tree just for the toys that it comes with. Overall, I’m pretty darn pleased (though wobbly, I would buy again.)
BTW- I live in a tiny apartment- and this cat tree actually fits well. Not too large, but big enough.

MY son and I purchase this condo for his kitten’s ,Choco, Christmas present. It arrived very quickly and in good condition. He and I put it up very easily even tho niether of us has had much experience assembling things. Choco loves it. She plays and sleeps in different parts and doesn’t seem to have a favorite. It is steady even tho we have it on a carpet and the quality seems very good. it is very well made and beautiful. We are very satisfied and consider it well worth the cost. We just purchased this Armakat 78″ cat tree to better accommodate the recent addition of a second cat, a young male who loves to climb. It does offer two high perches for both cats and lots of sisal for climbing and scratching, but the faux fleece covering material is too thin and overall the structure is wobbly. Also, the two perches have only three side walls that are not deep enough for the cats to curl up into; they’re too exposed.
Although at 50 pounds, this tall tree house rocks with our hyper kitty as he tears up and down it, I don’t think he’ll be able to topple it.
Our original cat tree by a different manufacturer, is a 72″ single-perch with covered house that is incredibly sturdy and quite luxurious with its plush carpet that covers the entire structure. Although smaller and more of a single-cat tree, it cost more than this larger Armakat, but the quality far exceeds the Armakat.
I recommend spending more for quality and comfort; something seriously sturdy that offers a combination of carpeted, four-sided perches and covered houses, and sisal legs.
